Getting to Know this Mommy

I am a mom, stepmom, fur baby mom, cheer mom, wife, sister, friend, and a woman who is passionate about living life to its fullest.

I love both teaching and learning. I have been a public school teacher for the past twenty one years. Whenever I say that, I feel so old. Time flies. I am a perpetual student always enrolling in courses to better myself in my career. I have a BA in education and psychology, a Masters in Reading, am a certified Reading specialist, have a certificate in Supervision of Curriculum and Instruction, and recently acquired an ESL certificate while pandemic teaching. I like to learn. On my hour and half commute to work, I listen to personal development books and podcasts, learn about finance, cryptocurrency and most recently blogging.

I love teaching and I love being a Mom, but I struggle to juggle it all. I put my heart and soul into everything that I do and wear my heart on my sleeve. I have struggled and survived. I have anxiety, but I manage it as best I can. I have cried many tears, but I always try to find “blue skies ahead” I am a constant work in progress and  always striving to be a better person.

I decided to create the blog because I know I am not the only Mom who juggles so many tasks. Being a veteran teacher, I feel I can be of service to the many homeschooling Mamas out there. I want to help people as so many have helped me along the way.! I want to share parenting tips that have worked for me and I want to learn from you. How do you do it all?

I am not a professional writer. I am an elementary teacher who loves writing. I love teaching writing and I love writing as a hobby.  I want this blog to  be a safe, nonjudgemental space where we can find camaraderie in this blessed journey of motherhood.
